It is odd. I'm in the middle of reading Robert Massie's Castles of Steel, about the naval war in WWI. I find myself reading about Churchill, Beatty and Jellicoe and I can only shake my head in disbelief at what I see on the television. It doesn't seem like the two visions of the British navy are 90 years apart. It seems more like 1000 years.
