Word Request

I just experienced something, and I want to know if there is a word in English for the phenomenon. Is there a word for doubting the veracity of your spell check program when it checks your document and doesn't find an error?

A word? "Suspicion", "Intelligence", "Experience".

Two words? "Common Sense"?

Yeah...but it needs to denote the quality of believing it when it tells you you are a screw up, and disbelieving it when it says you are ok.

I'm leaning towards "paternalistic".

"Cynic" is apt. You can believe it when it says you screwed up, but doubt it when it says you didn't.
